Cookies and Storage

Cookies and local storage policy

The site is built to use as little tracking as possible. In the current version, optional categories stay blocked by default and can be enabled only after explicit consent.

What is necessary for the site

The public application code does not set first-party marketing or analytics cookies.

Technical or security cookies may still exist at the infrastructure layer if the hosting or protection provider uses them to deliver the site or mitigate abuse.

  • Infrastructure on Cloudflare
  • Static asset delivery and cache behavior

Local storage used by the site

We use localStorage to save privacy preferences and, only after explicit choice, the preferred site language.

  • `vicyber-consent-v1` for consent preferences
  • `vicyber-locale` only after an explicit language choice

External content

Google Maps is not loaded automatically. Before consent, the site shows a local placeholder only.

If you choose to load the map, your browser will communicate directly with Google and Google policies may apply. Likewise, the KDays Google Form is loaded only after an explicit action and may rely on Google's own cookies, storage, or embedded resources.

  • Category: External content
  • Provider: Google Maps
  • Additional provider for the KDays support form: Google Forms / Google LLC
  • Activation: only after explicit consent or a dedicated action that loads the map or the Google Form

Optional analytics

Cloudflare Web Analytics may be configured differently depending on the deployment mode. In some deployments it is controlled by the site, while in others it is managed directly at the Cloudflare layer.

When analytics are managed at the Cloudflare level, this panel is informational and does not toggle the loading or behavior of the analytics mechanism.

  • Category: Analytics
  • Provider: Cloudflare Web Analytics
  • Activation: depends on the deployment configuration and the rules applied at the Cloudflare layer

How to change or withdraw consent

You can reopen Privacy settings at any time from the footer and update your choices.

You can also clear localStorage from the browser if you want to fully reset the site preferences.
